Resources for Government Media Relations
This list was created for a government and the media course at a state university with an emphasis on crime. It represents an array of material available via the internet and scholarly resources. It will be updated as new material becomes available.
An emerging emphasis is placed on social media and media coverage. Social media is being used by a growing number of news sites with considerable implications for government agencies. Conversely, a growing number of government agencies are employing social media for proactive and reactive purposes.
